What did you learn in this unit that you didn't know before?
Entendí
mejor lo que es la geografía en esencia, una ciencia de la exploración, la que
nos ayuda a conocer el territorio y a entender los fenómenos que se producen en
él y por qué se producen. Aprendí también que la geografía es más útil de lo
que la mayoría pensamos, ¿qué haríamos si no supiésemos como es el lugar en el
que vivimos? No somos capaces de plantearnos un mundo sin mapas,ni sin orientación
en el espacio. Por ello el trabajo de los geógrafos siempre fue y es muy
importante, ya que a través de sus diversas técnicas y métodos logramos, además
de orientarnos y conocer nuestro alrededor, responder a muchas preguntas que
nos hacemos a nosotros mismos relacionadas con el campo de la geografía; como
el por qué de que unos países sean más ricos que otros, o por qué los seres
humanos emigran...
También
aprendí que la geografía se divide en tres ramas principales: la geografía
física, que estudia el medio físico de la Tierra y el funcionamiento de sus
ecosistemas; la geografía humana, que intenta explicar el uso que los seres
humanos hacemos del territorio; y la geografía regional, que analiza la
relación entre la sociedad y el territorio.
La
representación del territorio después de conocerlo es muy significante y se
puede representar de varias formas. Además también se pueden utilizar los
Sistemas de Información Geográfica (SIG) una herramienta muy útil para los
geógrafos.
En
sinopsis, profundicé mis conocimientos sobre la geografía.
I understood better what geography is essentially, a science of
exploration, which helps us to know the territory and to understand the
phenomena that happen in it and why they happen. I also learned that geography
is more useful than most think, what would we do if we didn't know as it is the
place where we live? We are not able to think about a world without maps or no
orientation in space. For it the work of geographers always was and is very
important, because through their various techniques and methods we achieve,
apart from guide us and know about our around, answer many questions we ask
ourselves related to the field of geography; like why some countries are richer
than others, or why humans migrate...
I also learned that geography is divided into three main branches:
physical geography, which studies the physical environment of the Earth and
functioning of ecosystems; human geography, which attempts to explain the use
that humans make of the territory; and regional geography, which examines the
relationship between society and territory.
The representation of the territory after knowing it is very important
and can be represented in several ways.You can also use Geographic Information
Systems (GIS) a very useful tool for geographers.
In summary, I get better my knowledge of geography.

Yo creo
que todo lo que he aprendido en este tema es útil, porque todo es cultura
general desde mi punto de vista, y si algún día debo hablar o trabajar sobre
este tema, me será de utilidad todo lo aprendido.
I think everything I've learned in this unit is useful, because everything is general culture in my opinion, and if one day I need to talk or to work on this subject, I will use what I have learned.
